Welcome to Filmco
Filmco Ltd washes and recycles post-use plastic materials from commercial, retail, industrial and agricultural markets, recovering valuable plastic raw material for reuse in the European manufacturing industry. In 2007 the company established operations in a 40,000 square foot facility in Carrick-on-Suir, Co. Tipperary. This state of the art facility is Ireland’s only permitted waste farm plastics recycling plant and has an authorized capacity of 50,000 tones per annum.
Resin Identification Code
The Society of the Plastics Industry (SPI) introduced a plastic identification coding system in 1988. The SPI code was developed to meet recyclers’ needs while providing manufacturers with a consistent, uniform system that could apply internationally. The recycling industry had up to then targeted packaging containers and the SPI coding system offered a means of identifying and communicating the plastic types commonly found in residential and commercial waste streams.
Filmco processes both LDPE film and LLDPE film, and can accept various polythene plastic grades including sorted or unsorted, clear, coloured or mixed.
